TW: drug abuse, addiction, gun violence

Jamie wants to exist as a normal New York teen, but that will never happen because he sees dead people. And when his struggling single mother dates an NYPD detective, Jamie finds himself roped into way more than he ever bargained for.

I really wanted to like this book, but I just found it so dang boring. Every time I thought something exciting was going to happen, it just didn’t. The characters weren’t inherently unlikeable, I just found them boring and unrelatable. The story as a whole was just uninteresting. This took me actually a long time to read because of its blase writing and its unimaginative plot. I wanted more out of this book but I was heavily disappointed. It was not bad by any means, it is just average and forgettable.
