Books I Would Give 6 Stars

Here’s a list of books I love indefinitely-books I would give 500000 stars.

Some books are just not worthy of the 5-star ranking. Sometimes, they are worth more; sometimes they deserve 6 stars. some books are just so stunning that 5 stars just is not enough of a rating for the impact these books have on my life.

The books in this list are books that I consistently recommend and can never stop talking about. I want to share my love for these books with all of you.

Uzumaki by Junji Ito

This is my favorite manga of all time. It is the perfect amount of weird, gross, and terrifying (for me, at least). And adding to this masterpiece, the art is hauntingly beautiful. The story and the art combined create true art.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

I feel like the hype around this book died down a couple of years ago, so this is my attempt to rebirth the hype. This book tackles really hard topics in such a digestible way. Yes, this book is a tough read, but it’s inspiring. This book truly deserves all the love it has gotten.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book appears in most of my lists and might be my favorite book of all time, so it had to appear on this list. I tell every human I come in contact with about this book and I will continue to do so until I am in an elder home.

Educated by Tara Westover

This book is absolutely harrowing. Westover’s story is intense and brilliantly told. This memoir has stuck with me deeply. Every detail sticks to my brain like glue. This is a book that deserves all the love and hype t has ever recieved.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This book brings about so many emotions for me. I recommend this book to everyone as if I were a Prophet for this novel. Anyone and everyone with an interest in music and books need this book in their life.

Pet Sematary by Stephen King

This is my favorite King book. I think it is so bone-chilling and unique that it freaks me out every time I read it. I just think this is an expertly crafted work of horror.

Bunny by Mona Awad

I am genuinely sad that I cannot reread this book for the first time again. This book is confusing in the best way. I never know what is going on, but I love that deeply. I prolonged finishing this book because I didn’t want it to be over. This is a new favorite and I can’t stop thinking about and gushing over this novel.

My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell

This book is really dark and hard to read, yet it is so well done. I love how it shows a different side of this experience. And this inspired me to write an essay, and only masterful books give me that feeling.

Ring Shout by P. Djeli Clark

This is another weird, confusing book that I am obsessed with. It is genuinely terrifying. And for such a small book, it packs a massive punch. The less known about the plot of this book is better, but I highly recommend this book if you like being confused in the best way possible.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab

This book is not perfect, but it just makes sense in my brain. I think the writing is beautiful and I constantly think about the themes, morals, and symbols in this book.

Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson

This is another hard book to read, but it is so important and necessary. I flew through this because I was just so engrossed in this book. The writing feels like a gut punch and creates a sense of helplessness in the reader. That’s why this book deserves 6 stars, it is written never to leave your thoughts.

Legendborn by Tracy Deonn

This is one of my all-time favorite fantasy books. The sequel is my most anticipated book of the year. I just love the magic in this world. Deonn makes a 16-year-old character feel her age without the book itself feeling too YA. It is masterful in its exploration and I cannot think of enough good things to say about this book and my love for it.

The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones

This book confused the hell out of me. To this day, I still don’t fully know what went on in this novel. The atmosphere of unease and terror made this book outstanding. I am supposed to be confused and weirded out by this book and it really did its job.

Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

While listening to this book I had to pull over on the road just to cry. It hits you in every bone in your body, and I can do nothing but love this book. Anything that makes me sob like this book did is worthy if 6 stars, in my opinion.

Let me know the books you would give 6 stars and if you agree with any of these picks!
